Inverted sentences (placing a negative or restrictive adverb at the start, followed by auxiliary verb + subject) demonstrate rare, sophisticated Grammatical Range.
### Inversion Formulas:
1. **Not only... but also**:
- *Standard*: *Renewable energy reduces emissions and creates jobs.*
- *Inverted (Band 9)*: ***Not only does** renewable energy reduce emissions, **but it also** generates sustainable employment.*
2. **Rarely / Seldom**:
- ***Rarely do** we witness such rapid technological transformations.*
3. **Under no circumstances / On no account**:
- ***Under no circumstances should** public health be compromised for commercial profits.*
4. **Hardly / Scarcely... when**:
- ***Hardly had** the policy been introduced **when** public protests erupted.*
